When to ask would you still love me if questions

The game is a small, playful way of asking for reassurance and getting a story instead. It fits any moment that could use a grin, and it needs no setup at all.

A slow weekend morning

Turned into something over breakfast, before anyone has checked their phone for anything else.

Doing chores together

Little everyday chaos while you fold laundry or wash up, when the questions are close to what is in your hands.

A long drive

Wild life changes and Odd talents and fame, one card per exit, with the passenger reading aloud.

Ways to play would you still love me if

Yes, and…

Whoever hears the card starts with “yes, and” and adds one detail about how life would work. A worm still needs a tiny umbrella and a favorite flowerpot.

Ask it back

After the answer, the asker takes the same card. Two versions of one silly future, side by side, are twice the fun.

One card, three lines

Stay on a single card for a few rounds and take turns adding to the story: the first morning, the first outing, the first time a neighbor notices.

Getting the best answers

  • Ask out of nowhere. The question is funniest when it arrives between two ordinary sentences.
  • Small details beat big promises. “I would build you a moss bed in a shoebox” says more than “of course”.
  • A dramatic pause before the yes is allowed, and encouraged.

Frequently asked questions

How many would you still love me if questions are there?

There are 100 questions, 20 in each of five categories: turned into something, strange habits, wild life changes, odd talents and fame, and little everyday chaos. The cards and the list on this page use the same set.

Where does the worm question come from?

It spread as an online trend: one partner asks “would you still love me if I was a worm?” without warning and the other answers on the spot. The worm card is in this deck too, as the first card of Turned into something.

Can we make up our own questions?

Yes, and it is a good way to end a round. Once a few cards have warmed you up, each of you invents one more and asks it out loud.

Is it too soon to ask if we only started dating?

Swap “love” for “like” and every card still works. The questions ask about imagination, not about where the relationship is heading.
