How to play never have I ever as a couple
- Both of you start with ten fingers, shown on your side of the card.
- Read the statement. If you have done it, tap your hand to put a finger down. Tapped by mistake? Tap again to take it back.
- Tell the story behind it, then tap “Next statement”.
- When someone runs out of fingers, they tell the story behind the last one and you start a fresh round.
When to play never have I ever
Never have I ever is the fastest way to find out what you have not got around to asking. Every statement one of you has done comes with a story, and the ten-finger rule keeps the game moving so the stories, not the score, take over.

One round per category, ten fingers each, loser makes the tea.

Rules and variations
Classic ten fingers
This is the default. It is quick, it is fair, and it ends naturally after a dozen or so cards, so play two or three rounds and switch categories in between.
Story rule
If only one of you has done it, that person has to tell the story before the next card. This is the rule that turns a five-minute game into an hour.
No losers mode
Ignore the fingers entirely and use the cards as prompts. The “Little secrets” and “Growing up” categories work particularly well this way.
Tips
- Play “Relationship” last. It is the category most likely to end in laughter or a very long conversation.
- Honesty is the whole game. Agree up front that nothing from before you met will be held against anyone.

Can more than two people play?
The screen is designed for two, but a group can share a phone by playing in pairs and passing it along after each card.
