How to play truth or dare as a couple
- Pick a level from the menu under the wheel: Sweet for a first game, Flirty for date night, Bold for an honest evening.
- Tap the wheel to spin. It slows down on a truth or a dare and deals a card from your level.
- Answer the truth or do the dare, then tap “Done, next turn” to hand the wheel over.
- Not feeling it? Tap “Spin again”. Passing is always allowed.
When to play truth or dare as a couple
Truth or dare for two is a different game from the party version. There is no audience to perform for and no group to hide in, so the truths get answered properly and the dares become small acts of attention rather than stunts.

After dinner, on the floor, Flirty level, with every other phone in another room.
Anniversary evening
Three Bold truths each is a gentler check-in than “we should talk”.

Rules and house rules
The basic rules
One spin per turn and turns alternate. The wheel decides between truth and dare, and dares are meant to be done in the moment, so most take under a minute. Spin again as often as you like.
Play with a timer
Give each dare a two-minute limit and each truth a thirty-second thinking window. It keeps the pace up and makes the game feel like a game rather than an interview.
Mix the levels
Start on Sweet, switch to Flirty after a few turns each, and finish with a couple of Bold cards. The level menu makes it easy to move up between turns.

- Bold truths are honest, not accusatory. Answer for yourself and listen without interrupting.
- If a dare does not suit your situation, tap “Spin again” instead of forcing it.

Frequently asked questions
How many truth or dare cards are there?
There are 72 cards in total: 36 truths and 36 dares, with twelve of each at every level. Cards do not repeat until you have seen every card at the chosen level.
Can I choose truth or dare myself?
The wheel chooses, which keeps the game moving. If you would rather pick, spin again until it lands where you want. Nobody is counting.
Is truth or dare for couples appropriate to play anywhere?
Yes. Even the Bold level is about honesty and small acts of courage, not explicit content. You can play at home, on a picnic or in a café without worrying about the cards.
Can we add our own dares?
Not inside the game yet. A simple workaround is to agree on a house rule: whenever a dare is passed, the other person invents a replacement.
Can we play truth or dare over a video call?
Yes. Enter the same sync code on both phones: the wheel lands the same way and deals the same cards in the same order, as long as you both spin the same number of times.
