When to ask funny questions
Funny questions work best when nobody needs anything from the evening except a good time. They make a long wait shorter and a flat day lighter.
After a long week
Wild what-ifs on the couch, with nowhere to be. A few cards in, the week usually feels further away.
Stuck in a queue or a traffic jam
Food opinions and Odd little habits need no setup, and the answers are short enough for a red light.
Early dates
Our sitcom shows how someone sees the two of you, without asking anything too serious too soon.
Ways to use funny questions
Answer for each other
Draw a card and answer it as your partner would, then let them give the real answer. The gap between the two is usually the funniest part.
The sitcom night
Stay on Our sitcom for a whole evening and build the show as you go: the title, the theme song, the neighbor who keeps dropping by.
A laugh to end the day
One card from Oops moments before you turn the lights off. Nobody should go to sleep without one story they had not heard before.
Keeping it funny for both of you
- Laugh with each other, not at each other. Every card is written so the joke has room for both of you.
- The best answers are specific. “A pigeon named Gary” beats “a bird”.
- Skip any card that does not land. There are plenty more in the deck.

Frequently asked questions
How many funny questions for couples are there?
There are 100 questions, 20 in each of five categories: wild what-ifs, odd little habits, food opinions, your own sitcom, and oops moments. The cards and the list on this page use the same set.
Are these questions okay to ask in public?
Yes. They are silly rather than spicy, so you can read them out loud at a café, on a train or with friends at the table.
Do funny questions work early in a relationship?
They are some of the best first questions. Wild what-ifs and Food opinions need no history together, and the answers tell you a lot about how the other person thinks.
Can we play over text or a video call?
Yes. Send one question at a time, or tap “Make a 10-question list” and paste the list into your chat for the evening.
